Prerequisites for the Nursing Blended Learning Bridge Program

Who Can Enroll for the ASN

Being that our program is so accelerated it is required that students come to us with a certain level of existing medical background. Due to which, we are currently accepting only the following into the Registered Nurse bridge program.

• Licensed Practical Nurses
• Licensed Vocational Nurses
• Respiratory Therapists
• Paramedics
• Physicians
• Physicians Assistants
• Military Service Corpsmen

As well as the above we will consider students that have successfully completed a minimum of fifty percent (50%) of the clinical nursing credit hours in an ASN, BSN or RN diploma program. However, the student must have completed their last nursing class within the last five years.

Transcripts and Proof of Licensure

While we let students begin the program without official transcripts from previous institutions, they are required as students reach their nursing concepts. Transcripts required by KCI do not need to be official. For an academic evaluation they can be faxed to (770)455-8005. Be sure to include a detailed cover letter as to why you are sending them.

Proof of active licensure in one of the eligible occupations is required after the first nursing concept but is not required throughout the prerequisites.

Who Can Enroll for the BSN

Students wanting to enroll in the BSN (Bachelors of Nursing) program must have previously completed the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. (NCLEX)
